Self-Assembly
A Simple Number-Matching System
Most Young at H-art beds and bunk beds are designed for simple self-assembly. Each part is numbered, so assembly is mostly a process of matching the numbers, positioning the pieces, and tightening the screws provided.

This diagram is an example to show how the numbering system works. Your product may differ slightly depending on the bed or bunk bed ordered.
Before You Begin
- Lay all pieces out first
- Match the numbered parts
- Keep numbers facing the right way up
- Start from the top frame where possible
- Tighten screws carefully with the Allen key provided
Tools & Set Up
Allen key screws are inserted and tightened with the Allen keys. If you have a drill or screw gun with the correct size bit, this can also be used carefully.
Important Screw Note
Do not over-tighten the Allen key screws. Tighten them carefully so the bed feels secure without damaging the inserts or wood.
Moving Your Bed
If your bed needs to be moved, do not pull on the bed, as this can loosen the inserts. Rather push from the opposite side.

Do all products include assembly instructions? ⌄
Most Young at H-art beds and bunk beds include basic assembly instructions. Some custom or larger items may need extra guidance.
Can I assemble my bed myself? ⌄
Yes, many customers choose to self-assemble. We recommend reading through the instructions before starting and assembling with two people where possible.
Is assembly included in my delivery fee? ⌄
No. Assembly is not included in the standard delivery fee and is charged separately where available.
Do you offer assembly outside Gauteng? ⌄
For Cape Town and Durban orders, a third-party assembly provider can quote you directly after your order has been placed.
Can I request assembly after placing my order? ⌄
Please note: A R550 call-out fee applies if assembly is requested after your order has been dispatached. Please contact us as soon as possible.
