Orders & Lead Times
What is your current lead time?
All of our furniture is made to order. Our current lead time is displayed at the top of our website.
Can I change my order after purchase?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change. Because our items are made to order, changes may not always be possible once production has started.
Do you offer custom orders?
We offer selected customisation options, including finishes and colours. For custom Plascon colours or special requests, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm availability and any additional costs.
How do I know if the furniture will fit my space?
Please check the product dimensions carefully before placing your order. If you are unsure, we recommend measuring your room, doorways, staircases and access points to make sure the item can be delivered and positioned comfortably.
Delivery & Collection
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes. Our transport company delivers to cities and towns across South Africa. Please contact us to confirm delivery availability and pricing for your specific area.
What are your Gauteng delivery fees?
Gauteng delivery is R550 for delivery only. Delivery is handled by our transport company, while delivery and assembly is handled by the Young at H-art team.
What are your delivery fees for major cities?
Delivery fees for major cities are generally: - Orders below R4,999: R850 - Orders above R5,000: R950 - Orders above R10,000: R1,200 - Orders above R15,000: To be confirmed We reserve the right to adjust the delivery fee depending on the items ordered and the delivery destination.
Are there extra delivery charges for mattresses?
Yes. There may be an additional charge for mattresses delivered outside of Gauteng.
Can I collect my order?
Yes. Collection from our Lanseria factory is free of charge. If you choose to collect and the product later needs to be returned, the return transport cost will be the customer’s responsibility.
Can I schedule delivery for a specific day?
We will do our best to assist with preferred delivery dates where possible. Delivery scheduling depends on production timelines, transport routes and availability.
Will I receive tracking information?
Once your order is ready, we will communicate delivery arrangements with you. For couriered or transported items, updates will be shared where available.
What happens if my item arrives damaged?
Please contact us as soon as possible and send clear photos of the item, packaging and any damage. We will review the issue and advise on the next steps.
Do you deliver to apartments or complexes?
Yes, but please ensure there is suitable access for delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to check lift access, stairways, doorways, security requirements and complex delivery rules before delivery.
Do you carry furniture upstairs?
Please confirm this with us before delivery. Staircases, lifts, access restrictions and large items may affect delivery and may require an additional quote.
Assembly
Does furniture arrive assembled?
Where applicable, products are flat packed for safer transport. Some smaller items may arrive assembled or partly assembled depending on the product.
Do you offer assembly?
Yes. Assembly is available in Gauteng at an additional charge. Assembly for Cape Town and Durban may also be available and is quoted separately.
What are your Gauteng assembly fees?
Gauteng assembly fees are: - Small tables and desks: R300 - Beds: R400 - Bunk beds: R500 - Large tables: To be confirmed The delivery and assembly amount applies irrespective of the number of items.
Can I request assembly after delivery has already been arranged?
If assembly is requested after our transport company has already collected your order, an additional R550 call-out fee applies.
Can I assemble the furniture myself?
Yes. Assembly of our beds is a simple process, and assembly information is available on our website.
What tools are required for assembly?
Basic tools may be required depending on the item. Please refer to the assembly information provided for your specific product.
How long does assembly usually take?
Assembly time depends on the item and the space. Beds and smaller furniture items are usually straightforward to assemble, while bunk beds or larger pieces may take longer.
Do you remove packaging after assembly?
Please confirm this with us before delivery and assembly. Packaging removal may depend on the delivery arrangement and location.
Finishes & Colours
What wood do you use?
We use furniture-grade solid Pine, which has very few knots, if any.
What finish options do you offer?
We offer Natural Sealed, White Wash, Stained, Hand Painted and Spray Painted finishes. Please select your preferred finish from the product dropdown menu.
What is the Natural Sealed finish?
Natural Sealed is finished with a clear, non-toxic, water-based sealant to keep the natural wood look. Please note that natural wood may darken over time.
What is the difference between White Wash and Stained?
White Wash is a translucent watered-down white finish that allows the wood grain to show through. Stained finishes use a wood stain to enhance the grain and create a deeper dark brown colour. Both are sealed with a clear sealant.
What is the Hand Painted finish?
Our Hand Painted finish is created by applying primer followed by two coats of water-based, odourless enamel paint using sponge rollers and brushes. This creates a lightly textured painted finish.
What is the Spray Painted finish?
Our Spray Painted finish is created by applying primer followed by two spray-painted coats, resulting in a smooth, even satin finish. Please allow an additional 2 weeks for delivery when selecting this option.
Can I choose a custom colour?
Yes. We can supply furniture in most Plascon colours at an additional cost. Please WhatsApp us to confirm the additional amount before placing your order.
Where do I confirm my paint colour?
Please confirm your paint colour in the Order Special Instructions box on the cart page. You may also email us after placing your order. Either way, we will confirm the colour before completion.
Are colours exactly the same in real life?
Colours may vary slightly depending on lighting, screen settings and natural wood variation. We always recommend checking your chosen colour carefully before confirming your order.
Bed Sizes & Dimensions
What are your bed sizes?
Our approximate bed footprint sizes are: - Single: mattress 91 x 188cm, bed footprint approx. 100 x 200cm - Three Quarter: mattress 107 x 188cm, bed footprint approx. 115 x 200cm - Double: mattress 137 x 188cm, bed footprint approx. 145 x 200cm - Queen: mattress 152 x 188cm, bed footprint approx. 160 x 200cm - King: mattress 183 x 188cm, bed footprint approx. 190 x 200cm
Do you offer extra length beds?
Yes. Extra length mattresses are 200cm long, making the bed footprint approximately 212cm in length. There is no additional charge for extra length beds.
What height are your bed bases?
All our bed bases with legs are approximately 35cm high.
What mattress height do you recommend?
Our bed rails are approximately 50cm high, so we recommend using a mattress no higher than 25cm for the best fit and appearance.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
Online orders are paid in full through PayFast or Yoco.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payment can also be made through Payflex, which allows you to split your payment into 4 equal payments every 2 weeks.
Packaging & Product Care
How are your products packaged?
All products are wrapped in foam, and where applicable, items are flat packed for safer transport.
How do I care for my furniture?
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. As with all wooden furniture, avoid excessive moisture and prolonged direct sunlight where possible.
Factory Visits & Viewing
Can I visit your showroom?
We no longer have a retail showroom. However, you are welcome to visit our factory near Lanseria to get an overall feel for the quality of our furniture.
Will there be finished products to view at the factory?
As our furniture is made to order, we do not always have finished products available to view. A factory visit will still give you a feel for our quality, materials and craftsmanship.
